WIC, the Women, Infants and Children Program, is a nutrition program that helps pregnant women, mothers who just had a baby, and children up to age 5 eat well, be active, and stay healthy. WIC welcomes partners, grandparents, foster parents, or guardians who care for eligible children. WIC services are provided at no cost to you. We encourage newly pregnant or working families (including military and migrant families ) to apply!
WIC offers families information about how to purchase healthy foods along with nutrition information. WIC provides breastfeeding support and information. WIC also provides referrals to find health care and other community services.
Local activities encouraging family togetherness includes 2 swim nights and participation in the National Breastfeeding & Promotion month activities. In addition, WIC offers hospital and home visits to new moms to help establish good breastfeeding. Appointments are available in-person at Bishop Clinic or virtually from any location.
