State inspectors from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) recently visited the Toiyabe Bishop Clinic to evaluate our response to COVID-19. In the post-inspection interview, they indicated they found “no deficiencies” – which means TIHP had nothing to correct and were in compliance with applicable regulations. They also noted that they were very impressed with all the steps Toiyabe has taken to ensure patient safety; this is the best possible outcome to a CDPH survey.

For patients, this means that CDPH has reviewed the measures that Toiyabe has taken to limit exposure to COVID-19, and did not have any additional suggestions. It means that Toiyabe is taking necessary and appropriate actions to keep patients safe during this unprecedented time, and the State agrees.
