Matthew Earhart, OD
Dr. Matthew Earhart has been employed in an ophthalmology setting, in multi-practice optometric and commercial venues in both California and Nevada for over 10 years. As part of his practice he has assisted in founding an optometry clinic in a Native American Health facility. In addition to this work he has donated his time and talents to providing community work as well as optometry assessments in Ecuador, Mexico and the Czech Republic.
He has provided multiple lectures on glaucoma and other optometric specialties to his peers and students and is a past President of theSacramento Valley Optometric Society.
Dr. Earhart earned his Doctorate from Pacific University College of Optometry, his Master’s Degree with an emphasis on visual function in learning from Pacific University College of Education, and his undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada at Reno.
Dr. Earhart has also been named the California Young Optometrist of the Year. In his free time, he enjoys working out and spending time with his rescued dog, a golden retriever mix named Charley. Dr. Earhart is excited to call Toiyabe Indian Health Project his new home!
